Public Profiles
A public profile is the outward-facing representation of a user's identity and trust credentials. It aggregates several types of information into a single record that can be viewed by potential sharing partners before establishing a formal relationship.
What is included
Each public profile contains:
- Profile data — name and core identity information
- Public keys — cryptographic keys for secure communication
- Proofs and signatures — verifiable attestations and digital signatures
- Devices — registered devices associated with the user
- Reputation — trust and reputation scores
Visibility
Public profiles are readable by anyone within a tenant, including unauthenticated users. This supports the use case where a potential data sharing partner needs to verify a user's identity and trust credentials before establishing a formal relationship.
Unique identifier
Each profile has a human-readable name (unique within the tenant) that serves as a friendly identifier alongside the standard system-generated ID. This makes it easier to reference and share profile information with others.
